The Indo-Pacific is now recognised as the focal point of strategic rivalry, the new tech race and unprecedented coercion that risks competition turning into conflict. Australia has undergone a strategic reset in recent years and understands that national sovereignty requires international collaboration. Partnerships such as AUKUS and the Quad are a key part of this, along with strengthening bilateral relationships, with India at the top of the list.
