Social Development and Gender Equality Advocate
Bilguun Erdenebat is a Mongolian social development specialist working across Asia on gender equality, human rights, and inclusive governance. Her current focus is on the intersection of artificial intelligence and human rights, advocating for gender-responsive, rights-based approaches to AI and digital transformation. She serves as the Global Leadership Network Coordinator for Human Rights in AI Governance.
Bilguun works in the international development sector with organizations such as Save the Children, GIZ, the Green Climate Fund, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Asian Development Bank. Her work bridges policy and practice, advancing social inclusion in climate finance, infrastructure, and public sector reform—while ensuring that women, youth, and marginalized communities are centered in development and innovation processes.
A Fulbright Scholar and graduate of Cornell University, she was named a 2024 McCain Global Leader and a 2022 Asia 21 Emerging Leader by Asia Society. She is also a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Asia-Pacific Rising Star Award and Global Outstanding Team Project Award, and has led over 100 community initiatives supporting youth and education in Mongolia.
