People started to raise their awareness and interest in Korean popular culture because of K-Dramas, variety shows, and celebrities. Korean popular culture has had a profound impact on Hong Kong since the 2000s. The drama "Dae Jang Geum", Winter Sonata", and the Korean variety show, "Infinite Challenge", all of which have influenced the development of Hong Kong TV programs. On the other hand, music videos and lyrics of Korean songs also have different underlying meanings that reflect Korean popular culture at that time. How can South Korea make the local cultural industry develop so mature and prosperous in the past 20 years, so that all over the world have a new understanding of the Korean wave.

Everyone is embracing the Korean Wave, but can you imagine that Hong Kong 40 years ago was one of the leaders of Asian pop culture? Hong Kong pop culture in 1980s-1990s was very popular in South Korea, like "Korean Wave", it can be called "Kong-Wave". Many Hong Kong stars were popular among Korean fans. In the past, Koreans embraced the "Korean Wave", and now Hongkongers embrace the "Korean Wave". In contrast, what can we learn from it to make Hong Kong culture revive again?
