A series of events that nourish the body, mind and soul. We begin with morning chanting, pranayama and yoga with George Dovas, Director of the Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong, joined by Iyengar yoga instructor Devika Virmani. That’s followed by a discussion featuring Ramkumar Kutty, one of India’s most renowned practitioners of Ayurveda and Founder-Director of Punarnava Ayurveda, an institution committed to authentic Ayurveda for universal wellbeing, as well as Kavita Khosa, Founder and Creative Director of PUREARTH. The conversation will be moderated by Michala Sabnani, content director for SCMP’s Morning Studio and creator of the podcast, Equanimity.

George Dovas has been a student of Iyengar Yoga for more than 25 years. Dovas is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and has been the Director of The Iyengar Yoga Centre of Hong Kong since 2010. In addition to teaching yoga, Dovas gives talks explaining the benefits of yoga, and how the protocols and practices of Iyengar Yoga are being confirmed by modern science.
Devika Virmani started her journey on the path of yoga several decades ago and was introduced to Iyengar Yoga in 2012. Since then, as a Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, she has taught students of all ages and abilities, from 9 to 83 years old. As Vice-Chair of the Iyengar Yoga Association of Hong Kong, she is committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring that the life-changing benefits of Iyengar Yoga are accessible to all.

Ramkumar Kutty is the Founder-Director of Punarnava Ayurveda, an institution committed to authentic Ayurveda for universal wellbeing. A lifelong student of Ayurveda, Kutty has given talks and conducted workshops in the Americas, Africa, Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia, propagating health and happiness through Ayurveda
Kavita Khosa is Founder and Creative Director of PUREARTH. Khosa’s background in Ayurveda and organic skincare science, combined with an intrinsic desire for social change resulted in PUREARTH, a responsible and performance driven luxury skincare and wellness brand that supports income generation programmes for women and grassroots farmers in India.
Michala Sabani is a journalist and seasoned media executive with experience working across news outlets including CNN and SCMP. She is the host of Equanimity, a podcast series featuring South Asian narratives that force us to challenge stereotypes and broaden perspectives.
