Singing Camp for ChildrenVIEW EVENT DETAILS
1:45-3:45pm: Singing Camp for children aged 5.5 to 7
4:15-6:15pm: Singing Camp for children aged 8 to 10
In collaboration with Baumhaus, Asia Society Hong Kong Center presents a children’s singing camp with a twist! While children learn and practice healthy habits in ensemble singing, the camp introduces children to Asian folk songs, instilling an appreciation for the stories and songs of traditional culture, and embracing the richness and diversity of Asian culture.
Age appropriate singing techniques and stage performance will introduce to open the door of music and performance to young children. The camp also combines team ensemble work, movement activities, and learning activities on folk culture and music.
On the last day, families are welcome to join on the last 20 minutes to sing along with us and celebrate both sameness and uniqueness of music.
Baumhaus is a creative community space for young families, with its internationally award- winning Kindermusik program and activities that address the Arts in Early Children Development. The multicultural team behind Baumhaus believes in promoting respect for children, empowerment for families, and the strengthening of our communities through the Arts, Education and Play. The satellite programs they run in schools and other centres in the community this summer aim to provide age-appropriate arts instruction, while also exposing young children to values of community engagement and cultural awareness...of course, all done while having fun!
