Asia Society Hong Kong Center (ASHK) is pleased to host a luncheon discussion on the United World Colleges outlook on Shaping the Future in a Challenging World: The Impact of Education on Personal and Community Development. In this program, Mr. Faith Abiodun, Executive Director of UWC International, Dr. Spencer Fowler, principal of Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong and Ms. Stephaine Hui, Asia Society Global Trustee and UWC alumna, will consider the impact and importance of the UWC Movement on personal development, communities in Hong Kong, and the world, as well as the ‘Adolescence’ effect and how education and parents can support their children.

Faith Abiodun serves as Executive Director of the United World Colleges (UWC) International, a global education movement comprising of schools, colleges, national committees and programmes operating in 157 countries.
With a successful career spanning education, social enterprise, non-profit management and journalism, he has held leadership positions at African Leadership Academy - a pan-African educational leadership organisation, Catalyst 2030 - a coalition of the world’s leading social enterprises working to accelerate progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Future Africa, a public sector leadership organization with a network of emerging leaders across more than 30 African countries. He began his professional career as a journalist with The Guardian in Nigeria.
Faith serves on the boards and advisory councils of several leadership organisations and was recognised with an honorary doctorate degree from Macalester College, USA in May 2023.

Dr. Spencer A. Fowler is the principal of Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong since 2023. With over 20 years of experience, he is a renowned educator and global education leader recognized for transforming traditional educational systems. Dr. Fowler has made significant contributions in countries such as Chile, China, Egypt, Germany, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, and Vietnam by implementing student-centric curricula and challenging standardized education norms. His innovative approaches have earned recognition from Harvard University and the Colombian Ministry of Education.
Dr. Fowler is also a consultant on K-12 institutional reform and a sought-after lecturer on progressive educational restructuring. He co-presented at Harvard University's Learning Environments For Tomorrow (LEFT) Conference. Notably, he initiated China's first access scholarship, led an eight-figure fundraising campaign, and expanded campuses in Beijing and Haikou.
Dr. Fowler holds degrees from Queen's University, the College of New Jersey, and Western University. He is an accomplished writer with several publications on education and social justice.

Stephanie Hui is Goldman Sachs’ head of Asia Pacific AWM Private, global co-head of Growth Equity and head of Asia Pacific Private Equity Investing, CIO of West Street Asia Equity Partners.
Stephanie initially joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst. She worked in the Principal Investment Area in New York and then transferred to Hong Kong in 1997. Stephanie left Goldman Sachs in 1998 to attend graduate school, rejoined the firm as an associate in 2000 and became an executive director in 2003. She was named managing director in 2006 and partner in 2010.
Stephanie is a member of the global Board of Trustees of Asia Society. She also serves on the Board of Governors of the China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, and Honorary Trustees of The Women's Foundation.
Stephanie earned an AB in Biology, summa cum laude, from Harvard College in 1995 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2000.
