In February, take this opportunity to understand more about Shidokan Karate, which is also known as “Triathlon of Martial Arts” by Steven Lee, Branch Chief and Chief Instructor of The Shidokan Hong Kong Branch. Stephanie will continue to guide you through the singing bowls meditation to relax and calm your mind after the fitness workout.
Improve your wellness with your fellow members!
Shidokan Full-Contact Japanese Karate with Steven
Steven has been training in Japanese full-contact karate for over 26 years. Because of severe bullying he faced as a freshman, he started practicing this martial art in high school. Now, his goal in teaching karate is to eliminate bullying in the society by building up the youth through real martial arts training, and foster more understanding and friendship between nations and people.
Currently, as a Branch Chief for Hong Kong and Chief Instructor at two dojos with members ranging from 5 to 50 years old, Steven is looking forward to share his knowledge to the members of Asia Society Hong Kong Center
Singing Bowls Meditation with Stephanie Luo
During the 45-min session, Stephanie will first guide you to focus on your breathing and body. While playing the Singing Bowls, she will guide you to set your intention for the session. By intention, it can be as simple as "to relax" or "to be open". For the rest, all you need to do is to allow the vibration to work its way through your body. At the end of the session, your body, mind and spirit will be relaxed, awakened and energized.
