If you have wondered what is “slow cooked” and how it benefits you, or even just curious how to do slow cooked at home? Join us to find out more!
Benefits of "Slow Cooked"
Using a lower temperature to cook your food slowly helps the nutrients in the food to remain more stable than other methods of cooking. Cooking over longer period of time also increased flavor and reduces the need for added seasoning.
Joe Wong has vast culinary experience from being the head chef for various F&B groups and hotels. He also spent a good number of years learning from Chef Donovan Cooke at the Derby Restaurant and Bar at the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
With his passion for food and teaching, Joe is now teaching at Hong Kong New Oriental Culinary Art, where he simplified complicated cooking steps to make it easy for participants to understand and follow. He is looking forward to share his passion with members of Asia Society Hong Kong Center.
