This is a special workshop for young children and caregivers to “investigate” works from LOVE Long: Robert Indiana and Asia, with interactive activities in the gallery.
Educators will lead the group to sketch and discover what inspired these works and their connection to daily life. Children and caregivers will explore hands-on how words and text can create images and meaning, looking at colors, the use of numbers and letters, and composition to create spaces inside and around these graphic elements. You can then use techniques of paper cutting, typography, tracing, and your own sketches to make an artwork inspired by Robert Indiana.
This workshop will start with a special gallery tour to investigate selected works from the exhibition. Then, art and craft works inspired by Robert Indiana can be created. This will be a fun gallery experience for the family!
