Themes of the entry: Inspired by Nara - Imagination of Life
Yoshitomo Nara’s work draws on his childhood memories, imaginations, emotions and his interpretation of “life”. He sometimes projects himself and his feelings into his signature portraits of largeheaded girls and lonesome puppies. Through his many adorable pastel-colored figures, Nara also makes us think about life’s bigger questions. What do you think of your life? What inspires you in Nara’s work?
