The internationally acclaimed Asian Art Ensemble, accompanied by the masterful gamin, a multi-instrumentalist from Korea, will showcase compositions by esteemed composers Koji Nakano (Japan) and Kenneth Tam (Hong Kong) in the “Innovation from Tradition” Concert on July 14 at Asia Society Hong Kong Center.
Under the baton of Il-Ryun Chung, these exceptional musicians will blend a captivating mix of instruments from China, Japan and Korea with Western strings to engage you in a dynamic and immersive performance. The concert features a diverse range of musical pieces, from traditional folk and court music to groundbreaking intercultural experimental compositions, some of which will make its premiere in the concert.
The concert marks the end of the Music Composition Camp, first camp of Asia Society Hong Kong Center’s Summer 2024 Cultural Ambassador Program.
