Family Workshop: Fun with Calligraphy
VIEW EVENT DETAILSLOVE Long: Robert Indiana and Asia Education Program
This workshop suitable aged 8 and above. Children under 12 must participate with an adult.
Calligraphy, the art of beautiful handwriting. It is “the art of giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious, and skillfull manner."
Because it is whimsy and poetic, calligraphy is widely used in different occasions, invitations, greeting cards, and graphic designs. In fact, calligraphy requires more than beautiful handwriting skill. It requires skills and techniques to position and inscribe words so they show integrity, harmony, rhythm and creative fire. In this two-hour calligraphy workshop, participants will learn to use a range of writing tools to create calligraphy pieces inspired by Robert Indiana’s work. Come and join us to express your “LOVE”!
