We deliver the latest Covid-19 updates with Hong Kong and global community by hosting Dr. Siddharth Sridhar, Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology of the University of Hong Kong. In this discussion, we will hear his thoughts on the past, present, and future of Covid-19. S. Alice Mong, Executive Director of Asia Society Hong Kong Center will moderate the discussion.
Dr. Siddharth Sridhar is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology of the University of Hong Kong. He specializes in clinical virology with a special interest in emerging infectious diseases such as COVID-19. Dr Sridhar has worked on path breaking research into COVID-19 that crystallized our understanding of the virus in the early days of the pandemic. Dr Sridhar is also passionate about knowledge exchange with the larger community during these challenging times. He regularly engages with the public via print/online media, radio talkshows, and public seminars. His social media commentary on COVID-19 in the Hong Kong context has a wide following. Additionally, he is involved in fact-checking projects to dispel COVID-19 vaccine misinformation.
