Program 17:00, Close 18:00 (HK Time / GMT +8)
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed our operating environment and normal community support channels. This new normal is challenging individuals with a set of new mental stress points, resulting in nearly half of Hong Kong’s surveyed workforce exhibiting signs of anxiety disorders. Given the importance of mental wellness, we explore with mental health professionals critical tips and useful resources to help professionals, parents, and youth manage through the COVID-19 crisis in the workplace and at home. In Episode 21, come hear from Ms. Bhavna Bharvani, Clinical Counselor from Central Minds, diagnose the unfolding mental health crisis and how we can together create enduring mental resilience.
Bhavna Bharvani is a US-trained Clinical Counsellor, registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (APCC #3254). She practices out of Central Minds in Hong Kong, working with the LGBTQIA+ community, teenagers, adults, and couples, helping them achieve a sense of well-being in their relationships, work, and play. Bhavna has a background providing therapy in community mental health clinics, high schools, and residential substance use centers. She helps people work through depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, addictions, identity issues, shame, and relationship issues. Before becoming a therapist, Bhavna worked in Mumbai, New York, London, San Francisco, and Hong Kong, in television journalism, investment banking, and market research.
