*此工作坊對象為8-12歲學生│This workshop is for children aged 8-12.
*工作坊以粵語進行,英語補充。│Workshop will be conducted in Cantonese, supplement with English.

此星期的暑期藝術營的創意漢字工作坊,邀請了藝術家徐沛之,帶大家認識漢字的結構、含義、以及其在不同書法風格中的變化。
同學將重構自己的中文和英文名字,創作出一個可以代表自己的新漢字,並以中國書法書寫。
This week of Summer Art Camp invites artist Chui Pui Chee to lead a Creative Chinese Characters workshop. In this workshop, the artist will take you a trip of Chinese character to learn its structure and meaning, and its variation within different calligraphy styles.
Children will use their names, Chinese and English, to re-construct into a new character that represent themselves, and write them with Chinese calligraphy technique.
有關藝術家│About the Artist
徐沛之師隨翟仕堯教授及王冬齡教授習書,先後獲香港中文大學藝術系學士、中國美術學院書法系碩士及博士學位。 曾任香港中文大學專業進修學院藝術及設計課程統籌、香港中文大學、香港科技大學兼任講師,為現任甲子書學會執行委員(學術)、石齋之友執行委員、中國美術學院現代書法研究中心研究員。 2012 年獲香港當代藝術獎「青年藝術家獎」。作品為香港藝術館、英國牛津大學阿什莫林藝術與考古博物館及私人收藏。個展有「牀邊故事」(2018年) 、「吾在山之谷」(2015年)、「我書故我在」(2013年)等。
Chui Pui Chee apprenticed under Mr. Jat See-yeu and Professor Wang Don-ling. He earned his degree at Department of Fine Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and obtained is Master of Arts and Doctoral Degrees from the Department of Chinese Calligraphy, China Academy of Art. He lectured Calligraphy Courses at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and served as the Honorary Advisor and program coordinator at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, CUHK. In 2012, he received the Hong Kong Contemporary Art Awards—Young Artist Award. Some of his artworks were acquired by the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Ashmolean of Art and Archaeology of University of Oxford and private collectors. Solo exhibition including “Bedtime Stories” (2018), “My Tiresome at the Bottom of Valley” (2015), and “In Calligraphy in me” (2013).
