Gallery Visits for Schools

The Gallery Visits for Schools Program aims to broaden students’ interests, enhance their visual literacy, nurture their creativity, and strengthen their observation skills. We aim to make the learning opportunities fun, yet relevant and inspiring. School visits include docent-led tours of the exhibition on display at the Chantal Miller Gallery (formerly Asia Society Gallery) as well as film screenings (where possible) and interactive workshops based on the theme of the exhibition to provide students with a more in-depth understanding of the exhibition.

In addition to the Gallery Visit, school groups have an option to take a guided tour of the Asia Society Hong Kong Center at The Hong Kong Jockey Club Former Explosives Magazine. During this tour students will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the history of the site and its transformation into a cultural institution. Students will discover the different features of the site, both natural and man-made, as well as the different measures employed to conserve and preserve the site’s historical significance, through its unique and distinctive architectural design.
