2022 Summer Community Movie Screening

In August 2022, Asia Society Hong Kong Center (ASHK) will hold a three-day Summer Community Movie Screening Event at Miller Theatre, welcoming the public of all ages. The event encompasses three movies with each shown per day on August 19, 20, and 21. The selection of movies celebrates the theme of Asia Society’s current exhibition Recovery, Resilience, Resurgence that showcases the positivity and perseverance amid the turbulent history of Hong Kong during 1950-1970s.

Still Human (2018) tells a heart-warming story of a paralyzed man and a Filipino maid helping each other to overcome hardships to find something meaningful in life.

The Way We Dance (2013) and sequel The Way We Keep Dancing (2020) begins with a group of youthful dancers with tireless spirits, chasing their dreams, and fumbles through an unpredictable society.

亞洲協會香港中心於2022年八月在麥禮賢劇場舉行為期三天的夏日社區電影放映活動，歡迎各年齡層人士觀看。是次活動將於8月19、20、21日每天上映共三部電影。這三部電影與亞洲協會正在舉辦的「復甦生息、逆中求存、重振旗鼓」攝影展覽主題互相呼應，尤其是當中所展示香港在1940至1970年代的動蕩歷史中體現出堅毅正面的生活精神。

「淪落人」(2018) 講述了癱瘓男子和菲律賓女傭互相幫助，克服困難，尋找有意義的人生的感人故事。

「狂舞派」(2013) 及其續集「狂舞派3」(2020) 講述了一群年輕的舞者努力不懈地追逐夢想，在不安中摸索前行的故事
