Join us for an inspiring evening with Alex Yee MBE, the 2024 Olympic and World Triathlon Champion, as he shares his incredible journey to the top of the triathlon world. Born in Lewisham, London, Alex began his triathlon career at just 9 years old, training at Crystal Palace. Early recognition for his running abilities led him to represent Great Britain in cross-country and track events before transitioning to triathlon.

Alex will discuss family, identity, and his rise as an athlete despite the risks and challenges he faced along the way.

With a Silver medal at Tokyo 2020 and Gold at Paris 2024, Alex's journey has been one of resilience and perseverance. Don’t miss the chance to hear firsthand from one of the most decorated Olympic triathletes of all time.

Alex Yee MBE

Alex is the 2024 Olympic and World Triathlon Champion.

Born in Lewisham, south London, he started his triathlon journey at Crystal Palace aged 9. He gained early recognition for his running ability representing Great Britain at cross country and latterly on the track. He bounced back from a horrific bike crash in 2017 and finished his studies at Leeds Beckett University to qualify for Tokyo 2020, winning Silver in the Individual triathlon and bringing home the Gold in the Mixed Relay. In what is being described as one of the ‘moments of the Games’, Alex went one better in Paris, winning Gold in the Individual race, and then became the most decorated Olympic triathlete of all time, when Britain won the Mixed Relay bronze medal.
