Teaching for Global Competence in Out-of-School Time
Recommendations on Course Sequence
Since 2009, the Center for Global Education's Global Learning Beyond School initiatives has provided technical assistance to out-of-school time programs, networks, and intermediaries. We support the development of high-quality programs that create globally competent workers, leaders, and citizens by equipping young people with the academic knowledge, skills, and holistic supports needed for success in college and the workforce in an increasingly interconnected world.
Now, in partnership with Arizona State University, we are offering online courses that include out-of-school time examples, tips, and resources for youth development practitioners around the globe.
While the one-hour, self-paced courses can be taken in any order, we recommend the following course sequences for out-of-school time practitioners.
