What is the payment method? Can we make payment by check or purchase order?
Since this year it’s an all-virtual event, we cannot do payment by check or Purchase Order anymore. We use the online platform Hopin to host the conference and all the payments have to be processed through Hopin. In order to participate in the virtual NCLC, each of the participants need to have his/her own Hopin account in order to register for and attend the Conference. All major credit cards are accepted, and you will get a confirmation and a receipt from Hopin. You could either get reimbursed by your school with the receipt, or use a credit card from your school to make the payment. Here is the link to the registration page: https://hopin.com/events/2021-national-chinese-language-conference.
Are tickets non-refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. But great news! Plenaries, breakout sessions, teacher swapshops, and NCLC explains will be available post-event for 14 days. We will send a link and password for you to access. So, don’t worry if you miss something!
Where do I find my receipts? Will I get a receipt for the NCLC registration?
Yes. You should receive both a confirmation saying that you are in 2021 NCLC, and another email with the receipt showing how much you paid from Hopin as soon as you finish the registration. The receipt email is with the subject link called “Your Hopin Ltd receipt [#xxxx-xxxx].” Please make sure to check your spam or promotion folder too. If you still couldn’t locate the receipt this way, please reach out to support@hopin.com and they will help to provide a receipt for you.
Can I register on others' behalf?
We strongly recommend that you register for NCLC on your own because you will need to create an account with your email address. You will need the same email address to access the conference. If you have to register for someone else, please make sure to use that person’s email instead of your's. Otherwise, once you register, you will not be able to swap your own email account to that person’s email account later.
What if I can't attend the live event?
Your ticket includes the recording of plenaries, breakout sessions, teacher swapshops, and NCLC explains, as available, so if you aren’t able to attend live - we got you covered! After the live event, we will send you password access to an online portal where the recordings will be available for 14 days. You can watch all of the great content anywhere, anytime.
Who are the speakers?
All speaker information can be found on the REGISTRATION page for the conference. We are adding speaker information as we confirm.
I would like to be a speaker. How can I submit my information to you?
Our speaker roster is currently full. Please look out for our request for proposals for 2022 NCLC in the Fall of 2021.
How can I become a sponsor or event partner?

We will be in touch as soon as possible.

The EVENT, MAIN STAGE, and SESSIONS each have their own dedicated chat box. What’s great is that all plenaries and breakout sessions will be LIVE, so you will get to ask your questions in real-time.
