From the consummate masters of traditional music, to the edgiest new innovators, Asia Society’s Performing Arts department has created a powerful platform for engaging with Asia’s creative expressions. The performing arts program is an intrinsic component of Asia Society’s commitment to sharing vital aspects of Asian and Asian American culture. The arts link past, present, and future, reflecting the evolving vitality of creativity in Asia today. We foster artistic exchange and provide opportunities for artists to work in collaborative creative environments. Programs are bolstered by in-depth educational and digital resources which add context and situate our audiences to engage with the live arts.

Your support will allow our Performing Arts team to:

  • Curate groundbreaking performances by extraordinary musicians, dancers, or theater artists.
  • Hold arts and ideas exchanges where artists, musicians, and dancers share their creative work in a vibrant exploration.
  • Commission new work by exciting emerging artists working in various genres.

“Asia Society brings together business and policy, art and education in a thoroughly contemporary cultural mix. Stimulating to the mind, the eye, the heart, and the soul.”
