Today the phrase "China Wine" trended on Twitter and shows no sign of easing up. "China Wine" is the title of a 2007 pop song released by the Singapore singer Sun Ho that also features Haitian American artist Wyclef Jean.

"China Wine" trended when news broke today about a misappropriation of SGD$50 million (US$39 million) in church funds at City Harvest Church, one of the richest churches in Singapore. City Harvest's founder, Pastor Kong Hee, happens to be married to Sun Ho — and the funds in question apparently went to bankroll her singing career.

As the news hit the web, reactions started pouring in on Twitter. Some questioned City Harvest Church's 10 percent tithing practice, others just expressed disgust at the video.
