A Confidence in Style: Designer Han Feng
From saleswoman at Bloomingdale's to world-famous designer, Han Feng has made her mark on the global fashion industry with confidence and style. As a costume designer for film, theater and opera, Han's work has been described as "elegant, emotional, with a theatrical flair" by the New York Times and her costumes for the Metropolitan Opera's latest production of Madama Butterfly were hailed as "dazzling" by Opera News.
The Chinese-born designer and owner of Han Feng womenswear opened up to us about her personal journey as an Asian American immigrant who barely spoke English when she arrived in the US.
Watch our exclusive video below. To celebrate Asian Pacific American Month, Han will discuss her work at Asia Society's AsiaStore in New York on May 17th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm ET. Click here for more details on AsiaStore's ongoing showcase of Asian American designers.
