Asia Society Fellow Mira Kamdar Assesses the Obama Agenda
Asia Society Associate Fellow Mira Kamdar appeared on WNYC's Leonard Lopate Show earlier today to assess the likelihood of a lasting peace between India and Pakistan.
With the United States currently more involved with Pakistan than at any time in either country's history, and with President Obama set to touch down in India tomorrow, speculation is rising that the Administration is determined to broker a deal between the warring South Asian neighbors.
Kamdar, however, takes a different view, emphasizing that the big agenda for President Obama's India trip is "as much ... about business as it is about strategy."
