Executive Briefing | U.S.-China Competition with Courtney Fung
VIEW EVENT DETAILSImpacts on Global Governance and International Security
Asia Society Australia is pleased to host an exclusive member-only Executive Briefing with Courtney Fung, Scholar in Residence at Asia Society Australia.
The multifaceted and expanding competition between the United States and China has profound implications for global governance and international security. As the two superpowers vie for influence, their interactions shape the geopolitical landscape, significantly impacting middle powers like Australia.
At this briefing Courtney will examine how U.S.-China relations could shape Australia’s strategic outlook especially given its alignment with the U.S. through AUKUS, and economic interdependence with China, its largest trading partner.
With her deep knowledge of how powers, particularly China, address the norms and provisions for global governance and international security this event promises to provide an insightful glimpse into what an increasingly fragmented international order could mean for Australia and the region.
Following remarks from Courtney, participants will be invited to share their perspectives and engage in a moderated discussion.
Date: Friday 1 November 2024
Venue: Adelaide
