Asian Australian Voices

Asia Society Australia is proud to partner with the Australian Government to deliver this exciting new initiative. The goal of Asian Australian Voices is to inject fresh insights and perspectives into the national conversation and policymaking on Australia’s relations with Asia. It will provide up to 21 Asian Australian professionals with 12 months of intensive media and public policy training to enable them to better project their insights and expertise on Australia’s relations with the world’s most important region.
The program will support the national interest in three ways:
- It will advance Australia’s prosperity and security in Asia by helping Asian Australians to contribute their professional knowledge of the region through the media, in public forums and to government and business.
- It will strengthen Australian democracy by ensuring Asian Australian communities are part of the national conversation and policymaking on the consequential issues shaping Australia’s relations with Asia.
- It will improve the representation of Asian Australians in Australian public and corporate life.

Asian Australian Voices is supported by the ASEAN-Australia Centre, the Centre for Australia-India Relations, and the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations.
