Shirley Wang

Shirley Wang is founder and CEO of Plastpro Inc., one of the world’s largest fiberglass door manufacturers. Builder News recognized Plastpro’s doors as the “Best Product,” and Plastpro was named the “Most Innovative” and “Top 100 Manufacturer” by Window and Door magazine. Ms. Wang also serves as a board director for the NASDAQ listed Preferred Bank.
Ms. Wang along with her husband, Walter Wang, support causes ranging from scholarships and endowing Chairs for Medicinal Discovery and Asian American Studies at UCLA and for Pediatric Surgery Chair at Cedar Sinai Medical Center, being a major contributor to the Mayor’s LA Covid-19 fund, to providing pro bono lawyers at the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, sponsoring the Emmy-nominated “Becoming American: The Chinese Experience” and the Oscar-winning documentary “The Blood of Yinzhou District.”
Ms. Wang is a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, China Institute’s Blue Cloud Award, Asia Society’s Visionary Award, Anti-Defamation League’s Humanitarian Award and Asian Business Association’s Media Advocate Award and is a Museum of Chinese Americans honoree.
Ms. Wang is a trustee for Columbia University. Previously, Ms. Wang sat on the board of the UCLA Foundation, and is a past Chairman of the Board. Ms. Wang is a trustee for Harvard Westlake, co-Chair of the Advancement Committee. Ms. Wang and her husband provided the donation for Harvard Westlake’s Humanities Building now named Wang Hall. Ms. Wang is also a trustee of the U.S. Olympic Committee and on the board of LA 2028.
