Asia Society launches new Forecast Asia Series: China’s Ambition Grows as the Global Economy Slows
Asia Society centers in Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco inaugurate Forecast Asia, a series of high-level discussions with renowned economists, scholars and investment analysts on longer-term trends in Asia. The first set of programs bring together a distinguished group of experts to discuss China's economy, in Houston on February 2, in San Francisco on February 3, and in Los Angeles on February 4. Speakers include: Nicholas Lardy, Anthony M. Solomon Senior Fellow, Peterson Institute for International Economics, Li Lu, Founder and Chairman, Himalaya Capital Investors, Barry Naughton, Professor of Chinese Economy and Sokwanlok Chair of Chinese International Affairs, University of California, San Diego, Susan Shirk, Chair of the 21st Century China Program; Ho Miu Lam Professor of China and Pacific Relations at the University of California, San Diego’s School of International Relations and Pacific Studies and Jack Wadsworth, Advisory Director, Morgan Stanley; Honorary Chairman, Morgan Stanley Asia; Co-Chair Asia Society Northern California.
