Photos: 2020 Asia Arts Game Changer Awards India
On February 1, 2020, Asia Society India Centre presented the fourth Asia Arts Game Changer Awards India in New Delhi, honoring artists Tiffany Chung, Prabhakar Pachpute, and Vivan Sundaram.
The spectacular evening, attended by 120 Asia Society patrons, artists, art collectors, gallerists, and art world luminaries, was co-chaired by Pheroza Godrej and Sangita Jindal.
Some of the notable attendees include Asia Society presidents emeriti Robert Oxnam and Vishakha Desai; artists Jitish Kallat and Reena Kallat, Mithu Sen, and Nilima Sheikh; Edgar Kagan, deputy chief of mission at the United Sates Embassy in India; Shubigi Rao, Kochi-Muziris Biennale 2020 curator; Claire Hsu, founder and director of Asia Art Archive; Sneha Ragavan, senior researcher and projects lead of Asia Art Archive in India; Alexandra Munroe, Senior Curator, Asian Art and Senior Advisor, Global Arts, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and Interim Director, Curatorial Affairs, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Project; art historians Gayatri Sinha and Geeta Kapur; art critic Abay Sardesai; film director Kumar Shahani; and previous Asia Arts Game Changer Awards India honorees Vibha Galhotra, Abir Karmakar, Bose Krishnamachari, and Gulammohammed Sheikh.
