Help scale the Asia 21 impact!

It was more than a decade and a half ago that an inaugural convening of close to 200 young leaders from 20 countries launched the Asia 21 network.

Today the Asia 21 Next Generation Fellows Initiative stands as the Asia-Pacific’s foremost young leaders network and has grown to include over 1,000 influential individuals from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, representing over 40 countries.

Asia 21 is the only cross-sectoral, pan-Asian network of young, diverse change-makers who are united by a shared commitment to values-based leadership and leadership with impact. Asia 21 builds this unique, global network to connect this group of doers to channel their innovation, energy and vision into taking on some of the toughest and most meaningful challenges in the world today.

The Asia 21 Alumni Giving Campaign is an alumni-led endeavor to “give back” to the network that brought this network together to help continue the work of this great initiative. In 2019, Asia Society Trustee Omar Ishrak made a major multi-year contribution to support Asia 21.

Asia Society Trustee and your fellow Asia 21er Frederick “Fritz” Demopoulos from the Class of 2006 has also made a generous, multi-year contribution in 2018 to support Asia 21. This would be good news no matter where the gift originated; the fact that it came from an alumnus of the inaugural Asia 21 class makes it particularly meaningful. This was further complemented by the contributions from Asia Society Northern California Honorary Chairman Jack Wadsworth; Asia Society Trustee and Chairman of BDA China Duncan Clark (Asia 21 Class of 2006); and Asia Society benefactor Farooq Kathwari.

We invite you to join them and help make this year's campaign a success. Each of you represents an integral part of the network, and it is important that we are able to demonstrate the broad support of Asia 21 veterans. To that end, no gift is too small; every contribution will make a difference.

Funds from alumni will go to support the Annual Asia 21 Next Generation Summit, local and regional engagements, and other activities that help Asia 21 thrive during the 362 days of the year that are not spent at our summits. Your active participation is encouraged – and much appreciated!

*Many institutions have programs that match the contributions of their employees. This can double the amount of a contribution at no additional cost to the employee—a great way to scale the Asia 21 impact! If your employer has a matching gift program, please consider participating and inform us at Asia21@asiasociety.org so that we can complete the necessary paperwork. Thank you!
