Asia Society To Honor Climate Leaders at 2022 Asia Game Changer Awards

NEW YORK, October 21, 2022 — Asia Society will honor a selection of path-breaking individuals who are addressing one of today’s most urgent problems – the ramifications of global climate change –  at the 2022 Asia Game Changer Awards. The ceremony and dinner will be held October 27, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. in New York City.

Now in its ninth year, the Asia Game Changer Awards, held in partnership with Founding Partner Citi, annually honor game-changing ​leaders from a broad geographic range and varied backgrounds. This year’s honorees are: Michael R. Bloomberg, Dr. Arunabha Ghosh, Kathy Jetñil-Kijiner, Ma Jun, Navina Khanna, Nanette Medved-Po, Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, and Alok Sharma. At the event, Asia Society will also recognize special honorees Janet Yang and Kristin Kagetsu.

The emcee for the evening will be Ida Liu, global head of Citi Private Bank.

Established in 2014 by Asia Society and Founding Partner Citi, the Asia Game Changer Awards are designed to fill a vital gap in recognition and celebration of those making a positive contribution to the future of Asia and the world. Past Asia Game Changers include BTS, Dr. David Ho, Sal Khan, His Highness the Aga Khan, Sunisa Lee, Jack Ma, Kim Ng, Naomi Osaka, Dev Patel, I.M. Pei, Malala Yousafzai, Yo-Yo Ma, and other inspirational figures spanning the realms of policy, business, science, arts and culture, education, and technology.
