Interested in joining others to explore Asia through provocative cultural histories, masterful contemporary fiction, and multilayered journalistic essays? Then the Asia Society Book Club is just the place for you. Starting this fall, we are dedicating the second Saturday of each month to new works from and about Asia and its diaspora.

To get the ball rolling we’ve selected the critically-acclaimed book Wealth and Power: China’s Long March to the Twenty-First Century by Orville Schell and John Delury (which can be purchased at any good independent bookstore). Group members will choose the book for the next month at the end of each meeting.

Be sure to mark your calendars for great reads, conversation, and coffee at the new Asia Society Book Club.
