China exerts tremendous influence on day-to-day developments and long-term trends related to international security, economics, sustainability, human rights, and culture. The Hon. Kevin Rudd, President of the Asia Society Policy Institute, maintains an active interest in China. As a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, he completed a major research project on alternative futures for U.S.-China relations, resulting in the summary report U.S.-China 21. Mr. Rudd is proficient in Mandarin Chinese, serves as a Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University in Beijing, and co-chairs the World Economic Forum’s China Council. ASPI also works with Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations to deepen understanding and expand cooperation among China, the United States, and other Asian countries.
