Asia Society Shanghai
Asia Society opened an office in Shanghai in 1999, having managed contacts on an informal voluntary basis since 1995. It is now working to register formally as a legal entity in China, enabling it to raise funds locally under the guidance of a local advisory board.
Our Shanghai office managed the major exhibit of the Rockefeller Collection at the Shanghai Museum in 1999 as well as Asia Society's highly successful Asian Corporate Conference in 2000. Since then the office has continued to organize policy dialogues and facilitate visits of senior Asia Society officers, as well as ensure high-level Chinese representation at Asia Society events and conferences. It works in close collaboration with the Hong Kong Center.
