Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Korea and Romania in March 1990, two countries have been actively engaging in fostering bilateral relations; one of the greatest diplomatic achievements is the singing of the "Joint Declaration on Establishing a Strategic Partnership" in September 2008. After the EU-Korea FTA Agreement in practice, both politically and economically, two countries have beceome closer, which means Romania can be a gateway for Korea to build friendship with countries in Central and Eastern Europe. At the Korea Center November luncheon, H.E. Calin Fabian, Romanian Ambassador to Korea, will share his expert views on history and future of Romania and Korea relations and its impact on promoting interactions between Korea and Central and Eastern European countries.
