Asia Society's Opening Night Dinner at Times Literary Carnival

MUMBAI, December 7, 2012 — Asia Society hosted a Meet-the-Authors dinner to celebrate the Opening Night of the Times of India Literary Carnival for an occasion of dinner, music, discussions and exchanges with the participating speakers of the Carnival and Asia Society's corporate and patron members, amidst live music by Gods Robots, a band that blends pop music edge with classical Indian instrumentation.

Katherine Boo, Anita Desai, Prasoon Joshi and Aatish Taseer were among the authors in attendance. Several, from Gurcharan Das and Abhijit Banerjee to Jeet Thayil and Justine Hardy, shared their inspirations for writing with the audience from the stage.
