Japan and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (Complete)
WASHINGTON, D.C., March 9, 2016 — The Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement was signed last year by 12 Asia-Pacific countries, and has major implications for the United States and Japan. At a gathering to discuss the prospects of TPP implementation in the two countries and the implications for their bilateral relationship, Japanese Ambassador to the United States Kenichiro Sasae gives opening remarks, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Asia Society Policy Institute Vice President Wendy Cutler and featuring Hiroshi Oe, Bruce Hirsh, Satohiro Akimoto, and James Fatheree.
