Tibetan Meditation I: Calming the Mind Through Breath and Movements
Well being in the Tibetan tradition is a holistic sense of wellness that encompasses body, energy and mind. Participants will learn specific methods of meditation to help subdue their 'monkey mind,' as Tibetan texts call the human tendency to run from thought to thought, emotion to emotion, and place to place in search of happiness. Incorporating these meditative techniques into your daily life will help you connect to your inner wisdom and the potential to achieve a relaxed yet aware state of mind and a healthier lifestyle. In this course, participants will practice movements (tsa lung) that work with different energetic centers (chakras) to provide a sense of embodied meditation.
