ExploreAsia: Culture Camp for Kids
VIEW EVENT DETAILSTrekking Across Asia: Exploring the Continent’s Natural and Constructed Wonders
Entering its fourth year, ExploreAsia camps engage Houstonians aged 6 to 11 with the arts, cultures, and histories of Asia. Past experiences have included hands-on multidisciplinary visual arts projects, interactive performances from some of the city’s leading dancers and musicians, experts on Asian traditions and contemporary life, language instruction by community partners, and food demonstrations of Asia’s most popular snacks.
Our first session for Summer 2016, Trekking Across Asia: Exploring the Continent's Natural and Constructed Wonders, will feature stunning art projects and performances focusing on:
- Asia’s Ancient Treasures
- Biodiversity of Pacific Asia
- Crossing the Himalayas
- Modes of Transportation
- Mountains and Deserts of the Arabian Oases
