Elegant Patterns, Mixed with Nature: Ink Painting at Asia Society
VIEW EVENT DETAILSLifelong Learning
Inspired by Universe Is Flux: The Art of Tawara Yūsaku, join us for two classes on East Asian ink painting. Using classic materials of mulberry paper and Japanese sumi ink, the classes will be led by Mari Omori, a local artist and professor of art at Lone Star College-Kingwood.
Part one, on August 10, will focus on traditional techniques and simple, elegant patterns. Part two, on August 17, will follow a contemporary theme and incorporate actual elements of nature into your artwork. Each class will allow you to explore your imagination and expand the limits of your artistic ability.
Please visit Mari-Omori.com for more information on the class instructor.
