CANCELED: Creation Station: What a Relief
VIEW EVENT DETAILSPlease note that Creation Stations at Asia Society Texas Center have been discontinued. In its place, Asia Society will be launching a new family series. More details to come!
Relief prints (also called block prints) are made by carving into a surface, whether it’s wood, linoleum, or something else, and using the remaining areas to print. The result is much like a rubber stamp that can be inked and used over and over. During this Creation Station, we will learn about the many ways this method of art-making has been used throughout Asia, and then create our own designs and prints.
Education and outreach programs at Asia Society Texas Center are made possible through generous funding from Karen Chang and the George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation. Additional support provided by the Friends of Education & Outreach at Asia Society Texas Center.
