The Alaev Family in Concert
Hailing from Tajikistan and now based in Israel, The Alaev Family innovatively melds Central Asian, Turkish, Iranian, and Russian traditions as well as the Jewish music of Bukhara. The ensemble has embarked on a worldwide tour which includes a stop at the prestigious World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) Festival and the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Songlines Magazine remarked, “With exuberant polyrhythmic drumming and party atmosphere, The Alaev Family is a band that will surely deliver a great show.” Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes!
