The Alaev Family in Concert

ASTC Presents!
The Alaev Family.

Hailing from Tajikistan and now based in Israel, The Alaev Family innovatively melds Central Asian, Turkish, Iranian, and Russian traditions as well as the Jewish music of Bukhara. The enthusiasm and verve of these dynamic musicians and drummers turn every performance into a festive event not to be missed!

The ensemble has embarked on a worldwide tour which includes a stop at the prestigious World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) Festival and the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. Songlines Magazine remarked, “With exuberant polyrhythmic drumming and party atmosphere, The Alaev Family is a band that will surely deliver a great show.” Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes!

Visit The Jade Stone Café at Asia Society for a light supper prior to the concert.
