The Asia 21 Public Service Award

As part of the Asia Society's Asia 21 Young Leaders Initiative, each year the Asia Society Asia 21 Fellows select and present the Asia Society Asia 21 Public Service Award to acknowledge projects and organizations which benefit underprivileged social and economic groups, communities, and the public in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Award consists of prize money of $10,000 and the active support of the Asia 21 Fellows class in providing the selected public service organization with access to the Fellows' network for program development as well as in helping to replicate the models of successful projects throughout Asia. The Public Service Award is presented at the annual Summit. Possible areas of assistance from the 2009 Fellows include:

  2. Public-Private Collaboration
  3. Capacity Building and Training
  4. Resource Mobilization
  5. Grassroots and Community Project Planning
  6. Program Development and Management
  7. Fundraising and Donor Outreach
  8. Grant Monitoring/Fund Management
  9. Corporate Partnership Cultivation
  10. Media Relations and Communications
  11. Project Scale-Up and Replication
  12. IT Consultation
  13. Business Development
  14. Financial Viability
  15. Legal Services
