A San Francisco Meets Shanghai Sister City Trunk Show Presented by Asia Society Northern California Young Professionals Group
On December 12, over 90 shoppers gathered at the B. Mori showroom in the Design District of San Francisco to browse hundreds of unique items from San Francisco and Shanghai-based independent designers. The trunk show, organized by Asia Society Northern California's Young Professionals Group and co-organized by designer Kaileeni, was conceived to bring designers from the two sister cities together to unite around a common theme: inspired and innovative independent design.
Vendors from San Francisco and Shanghai included Kaileeni, LuRu Home, Finch, Lawless, Abandon, Madame Pure, Cukimber, Unique Indie, Peony Rice, NuoMi, Cicada, Victor Tung Couture and Orange Caterpillar.
The Asia Society Northern California Young Professionals Group was thrilled to collaborate with the San Francisco Shanghai Sister City Committee as well as ChinaSF to make this event a success.
A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to The Pentok Institute, which provides training in leadership development and English literacy for women from Tibetan nomadic villages in Qinghai, Western China.
