Asia Society Young Professionals Group Filipino Kamayan Dinner
VIEW EVENT DETAILSDinner & Trivia Night Series
The Asia Society Northern California's Young Professionals Group (ASYPG) Leadership Council invites you to join us for our November Dinner and Trivia Event at Pampalasa, a popular new Filipino restaurant, in San Francisco's SoMa District. This event will be the first part of our new dinner and trivia night series and will celebrate Filipino Heritage Month.
Pampalasa means "to add flavor, to season or to spice." Pampalasa is a tropical, full-service restaurant serving rustic Filipino cuisine. Pampalasa's menu reflects what many American-born Filipinos grew up with in their homes, but with just a touch of their personal twist using healthier local ingredients and techniques. The event will feature a Kamayan Dinner. "Kamay" is the Filipino word for hands, while "Kamayan" is the traditional Filipino way of eating with your hands. Join us for a traditional Filipino experience where you eat an entire meal with your hands.
Our evening's trivia will focus on Filipino history, and will end in prizes.
You'll also have the opportunity to meet the ASYPG Leadership Council, learn more about our upcoming programs and of course also meet other young professionals that share a strong interest in Asia. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, expand your network or discuss Asia's most pressing issues in a relaxed and welcoming setting. We hope to see you there!
Please stay tuned to the Asia Society Northern California's email newsletter and the Asia Society YPG website for information on other upcoming events and programs.
