Dr. Dalia Fahmy, assistant professor of political science at Long Island University and senior fellow at the Center for Global Policy, Dr. Shadi Hamid, author and senior fellow at the Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World at the Brookings Institution, and Dr. Mengia Hong Tschalaer, adjunct assistant professor of political science and anthropology at John Jay College, engaged in a robust discussion Islam in the modern world. The discussion covered topics like the role of faith in governance, public life, and terrorism. The conversation was moderated by Tom Nagorski, executive vice president of Asia Society.
