Photo Gallery: Legacy Dinner 2016
In celebration of Asia Society’s 60th Anniversary and honoring the legacy of John D. Rockefeller 3rd, the institution welcomed an exclusive group of Asian art insiders on March 15 for the 2016 Legacy Dinner. The evening was marked by the lively panel discussion titled “The Art of Collecting,” a unique conversation on the hunger for art and the pursuit of connoisseurship.
The panel brought together distinguished and respected names in the Asian art world to enrich the discussion: collector and Harvard Museum Collections Committee member Michael E. Feng; collector Ann R. Kinney; dealer and gallery owner James J. Lally; collector and Asia Society Trustee Emeritus John S. (Jack) Wadsworth, Jr.; and collector and former Asia Society Trustee Dr. John C. Weber. The panel was moderated by Asia Society’s Vice President for Global Arts & Cultural Programs and Museum Director Boon Hui Tan.
The esteemed panelists shared stories about building their collections and anecdotes of exploring the Asian art world. The panel was followed by a private dinner in Asia Society’s Garden Court Café.
