Over the past several weeks, the world watched as protestors clashed violently with police on the streets of Thailand.

Kiat Sitthiamorn, Thailand's newly appointed Special Envoy to New York and Washington, will speak about the recent political and economic turmoil in Thailand and where the nation's future lies.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva appointed Mr. Kiat, President of Thai Trade Representatives. His responsibilities include overseeing the country's economic and trade policy.
