Literary Lunchtime: My Korean Deli - Ben Ryder Howe

Literary Lunchtime: My Korean Deli - Ben Ryder Howe

My Korean Deli by Ben Ryder Howe.

My Korean Deli: Risking It All for a Convenience Store is a sweet, funny, and at times alarming memoir of a preppy editor who buys a Brooklyn deli with his Korean in-laws. Classes and cultures collide as everyone involved struggle to run a business, sustain family relationships and figure out how to live in America, whether one's ancestors arrived on the Mayflower or on KAL.

Ben Ryder Howe has written for New York, The Atlantic Monthly, and Outside, and his work has been selected for Best American Travel Writing. He is a former senior editor of The Paris Review.

Literary Lunchtime is a monthly series in which the audience has an opportunity to listen to and engage with authors in an informal book club setting. A brown-bag lunch is available for purchase at an addition cost or bring your own. Lunch orders must be received at least 48 hours before the program.
