Museum Exhibition - In and Out of Context: Asia Society Celebrates the Collections at 60
8 March 2016 - 8 January 2017
On the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of Asia Society, this exhibition celebrates the legacy of collecting and exhibiting Asian art that John D. Rockefeller 3rd (1906–1978) and Blanchette Hooker Rockefeller (1909–1992) set in motion for Asia Society. In this exhibition, historical and contemporary works are juxtaposed to trigger more informed and distinctive ways of thinking about the artworks, their creators, and how they are displayed.
17 May 2016 - 7 August 2016
Discover the unique perspective of New York City public school students revealed through the works of art based on Asia Society’s fall 2015 exhibition, Philippine Gold:Treasures of Forgotten Kingdoms.
This event is co-hosted by Citi and GAPIMNY (Gay Asian & Pacific Islander Men of New York).
